Whipped Goat Cheese and Olive Dip with Fresh Herbs

A high-protein, creamy whipped dip with goat cheese, yogurt, olives, and herbs — perfect for post-workout recovery or a healthy appetizer.

After a tough workout, your muscles need protein and your taste buds need flavor. This whipped goat cheese and olive dip delivers both. Creamy Greek yogurt and tangy goat cheese create a protein-rich base, while fresh herbs and olives add a savory twist. Serve it with crunchy veggies or crackers for a satisfying recovery snack.

Ingredients: 150g soft goat cheese, 1 cup plain Greek yogurt (2% or full fat), 1 tablespoon olive oil, 2 tablespoons fresh dill (finely chopped), 2 tablespoons fresh mint (finely chopped), 1/4 cup chopped green olives, 1/4 cup chopped black olives, 1 clove garlic (minced), 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional), salt and black pepper to taste.

Preparation: In a medium bowl, mash the goat cheese with a fork until smooth. Add Greek yogurt and stir until fully combined and creamy. Drizzle in olive oil, then add minced garlic, fresh dill, mint, and chopped olives. Season with salt, pepper, and red pepper flakes if using. Mix well. Cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to allow flavors to meld. Serve chilled.

Athlete note: One serving (about 100g) provides roughly 10g protein, 5g carbs, and 12g fat. This protein boost aids muscle repair after exercise. The healthy fats from olives and olive oil support hormone function and satiety. Greek yogurt also offers probiotics for gut health, which can help with overall recovery.
