After a tough workout, cool down and refuel your muscles with these high-protein strawberry yogurt popsicles. Perfect for endurance athletes and strength trainers, they support recovery while satisfying your sweet tooth.
Ingredients: 2 cups plain Greek yogurt (high protein), 1 cup fresh strawberries (washed and hulled), 2 tablespoons honey or maple syrup, 1 teaspoon vanilla extract (optional).
Preparation: Puree strawberries in a blender or food processor. In a bowl, whisk together Greek yogurt, honey, and vanilla. Gently fold in strawberry puree to create a swirl. Pour mixture into popsicle molds. Freeze for at least 4 hours until solid. To remove, run molds under warm water for a few seconds.
Athlete note: Each serving provides about 15g of protein from Greek yogurt, aiding muscle repair. Strawberries offer antioxidants and vitamin C for immune support. Honey provides quick carbs to replenish glycogen stores post-exercise.
Storage: Keep in the freezer in an airtight container for up to 1 week. For extra protein, add one scoop of vanilla protein powder. For a vegan version, use coconut yogurt and agave syrup.
