Athlete Banana Oat Pancakes

High protein, naturally sweetened athlete pancakes. Easy to make with banana, oats, and eggs.

These athlete banana oat pancakes are ideal as a pre-workout energy boost or post-workout recovery meal. The complex carbs from oats and banana, combined with quality protein from eggs, provide a balanced nutrient profile.

Ingredients: 2 ripe bananas, 2 large eggs, 1 cup rolled oats (gluten-free if desired), 1 teaspoon baking powder, 1 teaspoon cinnamon (optional), 1 tablespoon milk (dairy or almond). Optionally add 1 scoop protein powder.

Preparation: 1. Mash bananas well in a bowl. 2. Add eggs and whisk. 3. Stir in oats (and protein powder), baking powder, and cinnamon. 4. Cook on a lightly greased skillet over medium heat. Pour batter and cook until golden on each side, about 2-3 minutes.

Athlete note: This recipe provides moderate glycemic carbs for pre-workout energy and supports muscle repair post-workout. Adding protein powder can boost protein content above 20g. The high fiber aids digestion and satiety.

Storage: Store pancakes in the fridge for 3 days or freeze for up to 1 month. Top with peanut butter and fruit to enhance nutrition. Use gluten-free oats for a gluten-free option.
